Jason Mitchell is a singer/songwriter, poet, storyteller who currently spends his time between Vancouver & Kelowna, British Columbia. He made his debut with a deeply personal collection of songs on the CD, "The World is Flat" which was released in May 2000 by Warner Music Canada. The CD was well received and has been heard on radio stations and satellite networks in both Canada and the United States.
With the CD release came an extensive tour schedule across Canada in which Jason’s true joy and passion for his music and performing live was shared with many audiences. Jason has opened for "Blue Rodeo" in both Montreal and Toronto, as well as for the "Cowboy Junkies" at the Tulip Festival in Ottawa and 54/40 in B.C..
Other shows of interest have included; Toronto Street Festival, Much Music Interview, Winnipeg Westend Cultural Center, Myer Horowitz Theater (Edmonton), University College of the Caribou (Kamloops), Vancouver East Cultural Center, White Rock Theater, Chapters bookstores across Canada, Virgin Records Megastore (Vancouver), A&B Sound (Kelowna & Victoria), Liberty Lounge (Calgary), Holy Joes (Toronto), Side Track Café (Edmonton) and the Railway Club in Vancouver.
Jason also released two music videos which were played on Much Music, Much More Music, C.M.T., and Musique Plus. Jason has also performed live on Canada AM, the CFMI Morning Show with Brother Jake, Urban Rush TV Show, Breakfast Television and was recently featured on CBC's "North by Northwest". Three of his songs were also chosen for the soundtrack of a C.T.V. production called, "The Stolen Miracle".

April 2008
Jason & band mates Randy Shultz (guitar), Brad Graham (bass) and Brendan McLean (drums) put on a great show at the Habitat in Kelowna on April 19th. The Nero from Liverpool England opened the double bill to the appreciative sold out audience.
January 2008
Jason and the band are gearing up for the new year and have recently released a limited edition cd called "Live at Rockbeach" which was recorded in the spring of 2006.
The live cd features songs from Jason's debut cd with Warner "The World is Flat" as well as the indipendant cd "Little Coma" and some new songs yet to be released.
